Hi!
about
Integrating technology into your life does not have to consume it. We are fortunate to live in a time that has, at our disposal, technology to make lives easier, safer, and healthier. It is a shame that the same technology, when not implemented constructively, can affect our mental and physical well being; and it is this tech that has given it a bad name and caused many people to rightfully try and pull it from their households. "A return to a simpler time" we hear. Life was not simple when we had to wash our clothes by hand... hunt and grow our own food... or die young from some illness we hadn't yet understood. The concepts that have made our lives easier over generations, are the concepts I try to apply to the technology I enjoy bringing into your home or business. Automation to free yourself from the medial tasks that consume our time and prevent us from taking our lives, our businesses, and our minds to the next level. I want to help solve your problems with a people first approach.

technical skills
Reluctant to accept a 'normal' life, I fled from a traditional path and explored my creativity, through trying my hands on various careers and education. In forty years on this earth I've studied bio-chemistry, computer science, cooking, finance, welding, and I'm currently writing my Masters of Education Thesis on new methods of distance education. Today, I knack for critical thinking, empathy and creativity to create viable and impactful solutions using the technologies and experiences of my life thus far. I firmly believe that every experience, past - present - future, distills into the work we do for our customers, our communities, and ourselves.
education and qualifications
I've spent a life-time taking anything apart that I could get my hands on, to figure out how it works. The majority of my education comes from life experiences... some that ended well, some that did not. Lessons there, in all of them.
That said, I received my Bachelor degree in Applied Financial Planning, minoring in Philosophy and Game Theory. From there I pursued my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designations, receiving them both by 2008. By 2016 my part-time hobby welding had turned me into a Red-Seal Welder with a B-Pressure ticket. In 2018 I left that life to work with children and young adults with behavioural and Spectrum disorders, using video games, robotics, and computer science to help them learn, and manage their emotions. This is what ultimately led me to my current educational pursuit of my MEd. I think one should never stop learning and go through a process of acquiring knowledge whenever the opportunity arises.
